My name is Bill Lowe and I'm an aspiring amateur designer and web developer. I have been working with a mix of digital creative mediums for the past four years, my interests include web design, digital painting, game design and graphic design. This website is my personal portfolio.

I also play guitar and dabble in music production.

Skills & Expertise

I work with mainly CSS for my web design and I am currently teaching myself PHP and MySQL. I am skilled with a wide range of applications including:

  • Adobe Illustrator CS3
  • Adobe Dreamweaver CS3
  • Microsoft Office 2007 (Word & Excel Pimarily)
  • AutoDesk 3D Studio Max 9

I consider myself a good learner and can pick up new applications quickly. Currently I'm getting to grips with Flash, Painter, Abelton Live and Z-Brush.

Alongside art & design applications I also have extensive experience managing my personal home/office network (wired & wireless) and webserver (Apache, MySQL etc).

Goals

At the present time my goals are as follows;

  • Develop my skills in web development, including PHP, MySQL and Flash
  • Develop my skills in character design & conceptual illustration
  • Develop my skills in 3d modelling, animation & rigging
  • Establish myself as a web designer for clients in my local area
  • Design and develop a fully-fledged website for my design company

Skills & Interests

I have advanced computer skills in terms of both software and hardware knowledge, I am able to perform maintaince and upgrades and troubleshoot any issues that should arise with general system usage. I pick up new applications very quickly and consider myself a good learner. I have clear and polite telephone manner and good all round communication skills.

My passion for design and art span both my personal and professional life, most of my free time is spent drawing with the tablet or making music.
